Aiming to reproduce sounds
found within the shrinking caverns of his mind, The Last Sound approaches
his craft with the enthusiasm of a child, the inventiveness of a genius
and the technical expertise of a child.
Electronic sound-seeds were sown in mid 1992, however it
wasn't until the acquisition of a new home computer system in 1999 that
a new, more dedicated electronic music project was born - henceforth known
as The Last Sound. Inspired by, somewhat dully "anything that sounds
good", the first fruits of this endeavour immediately garnered rich
praise from all those who savoured. So much so, that the fine people from
Psychonavigation, Lazybird, Synergia and the magazine Foggy Notions deemed
examples of said fruits ripe enough for inclusion in editions of their
respective fruit baskets (or rather -compilations).

What was surely the pineapple appeared in late 2002 via
Front End Synthetics. This was known as "B'locks" and contained
11 and a half slices, each with it's own unique flavour, giving the impression
of a more varied cocktail while still unarguably carved from the one exotic
whole. High profile champions included The Irish Times, Hot Press and the
EventGuide. Live renditions of these works delighted audiences at DEAF'02,
Mór'03 and the esteemed Lazybird club amongst many others and thus
a coveted seat aside the cream of Irish electronica was assured.
Alas, the opportunity to retract any fruit-based
comparisons has long since passed. Ergo, the next arrival from The Last
Sound one can only assume, will be a watermelon.
